Steam Powered Giraffe

Hydraulics hiss and motors hum as three robots begin to snap into mechanical movement. Their instruments ring and the automatons begin to belt out in three part harmony.

The robots of Steam Powered Giraffe are like nothing you've ever seen. The malfunctioning joke-spewing metal men play a collection of original Vaudeville inspired tunes fused with modern flare and executed in a super-sleek, one-of-a-kind performance.

More than just a band, Steam Powered Giraffe is an experience that must be seen and heard by the entire family.

The artists behind the robots started street busking as these quirky characters in January 2008 at Balboa Park, California, and instantly drew the attention of Southern California. Since then they've performed at such venues as The San Diego Fair, The San Diego Zoo, The Wild Animal Park, Legoland, Ontario Mills, and numerous Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Steampunk Conventions.

The act combines the visual of robot pantomime with sketches, pop culture references, improvised comedic dialogue, and of course, original music. From their heartwarming nostalgic melodies to their funky cabaret rock, Steam Powered Giraffe's songs are memorable, infectious, and as unique as the robots themselves.

Aurelio Voltaire

Voltaire is often referred to as a modern day renaissance man having achieved success in the fields of animation, toy design, comics, books and music.

Voltaire (full name, Aurelio Voltaire Hernandez) as a child was enthralled by the films of Ray Harryhausen ( Jason and the Argonauts, The 7th Voyage of Sinbad) and set out to become a stop-motion animator. At the age of ten, he bought a super 8 camera with a single frame function and began making stop-motion films in the basement of his childhood home. He began his career as a stop-motion animator and director in the eighties, and made his mark as a director shortly thereafter, producing a handful of horror, sci-fi and Halloween oriented station IDs for SyFy Channel, USA Networks, Discovery, The Learning Channel, Fangoria and others.

Voltaire has created several comic book series including the cult classics; Oh My Goth!, Human Suck, Chi-Chian (a 14-episode animated web-series for the SyFy Channel's website.) and most recently Deady, the tale of an extraterrestrial, evil teddy bear.

In 1995, Voltaire took the stage at a New York City club and performed a set of his songs. His strange brew of murder ballads, cynical, tongue-in-cheek tunes about social ills, religion and the undead found a fast following amongst the denizens of the New York City Goth scene. From Goth, to Star Trek, to Steampunk and back, his musical talent and influences stretch across a broad array of genres, and does it in style. Many in the mainstream know Voltaire for his songs "Brains!" and "Land of the Dead", both featured on "The Grim Adventures of Billy And Mandy".

Aurelio Voltaire has returned to making films for the love of it. He is presently working on a series of shorts call the "Chimerascope series". Based on the station ID work he did for MTV and SyFy Channel, each film is about a minute or two long, animated in stop-motion animation and feature narrations by singers of note. More Chimerascope shorts are presently in the works as well as a live action, horror/comedy feature film.

David Eddings

Nigh-talented voice actor of Claptrap, or friendly VP of Gearbox Software? It's a rhetorical question so no need to answer - but the correct choice is "d) all of the above". (Edit: a write-in response of "SpikeTV's 2012 VGA Character of the Year recipient" would have also been acceptable.)

Known as the voice behind the lovable robot Claptrap - now star of the Borderlands PreSequel and Handsome Collection - David spent most of the past 15 years in the game industry as a behind-the-scenes player. From publishing games (Max Payne, Tropico, Serious Sam) to producing action figures (Call of Duty, Unreal Tournament) to eventually joining top developer Gearbox Software, David has consistently demonstrated his innate ability to be at the right place at the right time

Harp Twins - Camille and Kennerly Kitt

As the world's only identical twin professional harpists, Camille and Kennerly have a passion and flair for arranging and performing contemporary music for Harp Duet. The twins were trained classically but their true musical love and passion is playing rock, metal, alternative, and crossover genres. The Harp Twins perform on identical statuesque acoustic Concert Grand Harps as well as identical modern ebony Electric Harps. Most recently, Camille and Kennerly have teamed up with Harpsicle/Rees Harps to show what can be done with smaller, affordable harps. The twins' new metallic blue harps bring a new element to the breadth of their Duet Harp Revolution. Camille and Kennerly have created a unique niche for themsevles: They play rock and metal using only their two harps. Unlike other artists who cover contemporary music, the twins use no backtrack, studio, or production people. They are the archetype of true independent artists. Camille and Kennerly are recognized for their remarkable duet harp arrangements of songs by artists such as Guns & Roses, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Ozzy Osborne, Aerosmith, AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, Blue Oyster Cult, Scorpions, The Police, Bon Jovi, Pink Floyd, U2, Journey, Lady Gaga, The Cranberries, Coldplay, The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Deep Purple, and many more. The twins also arrange and perform a jukebox of TV and Movie Soundtrack, Anime, and Video Game hits. Some fan favorites include their renditions of music from Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, The Elder Scrolls, Final Fantasy, Star Trek, Star Wars, Doctor Who, Downton Abbey, Zelda, Mario, Silent Hill, Harry Potter, Saint Seiya, The Lord of the Rings, and The Hobbit. In addition to being prolific arrangers, Camille and Kennerly compose and perform their own original pieces for Harp Duet. After college I started working professionally in gaming where I art directed a mobile RTS game called Amoebattle on Nintendo DS, iOS and Android, which reached the front page feature of Apple's App Store and was selected as one of Kotaku's Gaming Apps of the Day. Bee and Puppycat was my first work animation, where I was initially brought on to do background designs at the start of the current season, but now I also do character designs and background paints. I now also work at Cartoon Network as one of two color stylists on the show Steven Universe.

Todd Nathanson

Better known as Todd in the Shadows, is the resident music reviewer for the popular review website ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com. With a background in journalism and several awards under his belt, Todd decided that the slapdash world of online criticism was far more rewarding. Details about this mysterious faceless man's backstory (where he lives, where he actually worked, what his ethnicity is, etc) have been hard to unearth, but here's what we do know; for the past five years, this mysterious shadowy man has sat in a dark room in front of a piano and explored the deeper meanings of Katy Perry songs without ever once showing his face; when asked why, all he would say is, "If this was what you did for a living you wouldn't want to show your face either."

Inspired by the snarky, sarcastic movie reviews of popular Internet personality The Nostalgia Critic, Todd set out to do the same for the maddening pop songs he had heard too many times on the radio. Debuting on Youtube in late 2009, and joining Channel Awesome in mid-2010, he has quickly become a standout among the Internet reviewer crowd for his incisive wit, brilliant insight, musical talent and what can we only presume are stunning good looks (we are assured Todd is, in fact, Channel Awesome's "hottest guy".)

Since his debut, he's taken a deep critical look at the best, worst, and silliest of the day's most inescapable pop hits, but he's also expanded his scope to take a look at the popular music of past decades as well as music stars' strange forays into film, television and even video games. He has also starred in two feature-length movies produced by ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com, for which he received overwhelming critical acclaim from both of his parents and one of his cousins.

Mango Sirene

A 22-year-old cosplayer and YouTube vlogger based in Michigan. After discovering cosplay at Detroit's very own Youmacon in 2007, she was instantly hooked. Despite having no prior experience with clothing fabrication, she jumped headfirst into the world of costuming, quickly teaching herself how to sew, style wigs, make props, and model her outfits.

Nina has been an active member of the cosplay community since then, having made more than 80 costumes over the past eight years. Her YouTube channel, which focuses on tutorials, cosplay vlogs, and convention reviews, has garnered over 1.7 million views and 44,000 subscribers. Her focus behind everything she does is on creating a welcoming environment for those who are new to the hobby, all the while maintaining focus on the most important aspect of cosplay: having fun and striving to do your very best! Solo Grayson

Solo Grayson is a 24 year-old cosplayer and YouTube vlogger based in Michigan. Her first attempt at Cosplay was at her first convention: Youmacon 2007. Originally only a crossplayer. She has since quickly become immersed in the hobby, with her costume list growing larger and larger each year. She is the first to admit she still has much to learn about the art of Cosplay and is always striving to improve with every new costume.

After creating cosplay skits with the rest of Inner Mind Theater, Solo has since become more active in the community. Her YouTube channel has Convention Vlogs and she started the Cosplay version of the “No Mirror Makeup Challenge.” She also has a running segment called “Megan Mondays” where she answers any questions asked, though the prevent themes always seem to be Cosplay or Geek Culture related.

For Solo, Cosplay is about having fun and expressing love for your favorite characters and shows. It's not only something anyone can do, it's something she wishes anyone with the interest should just jump in and give a try!

A German Cosplayer in America and I have been an active and professional Cosplayer since 1998. I have competed in almost every major German cosplay competition, and some across Europ,e including Japan Expo in Paris.

I have been a guest at Anime Boston, Camp Anime, Rhode Island Comic Con, and Super Mega Fest. I also love judging competitions!

Cosplay is my passion and my life. I love the challenges I receive with every costume. Whether it’s how to figure out new techniques and skills for new costumes or how to manage the time in between conventions to make them, I always learn more and make myself better from it. I love that with cosplay I can inspire young cosplayers and people who have never cosplayed before to really get into it and able to pass on my knowledge to the younger generations.

My other Passion is to help others. I do a lot of charity work. I do walks and help out with Autism Awareness and walk several Parades.

I can’t wait to explore more and meet new fans at the Midwest Media Expo!

Since then, her life has been a barrage of conversation with guests ranging from Hollywood talent to Japanese icons. Anthony Kroze Kresky is a New Jersey escapee (We've tried to push him back into his bottle but have had no luck thus far) who specializes in new media production and promotion. He has recently entered the realm of professional voice acting. A frequent innovator, voice actor, and talent spotter, over the years Kroze has been involved in many internet related shows such as Red vs. Blue, Team Four Star, Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series, Eden: The Zhang Chronicles, Loading Ready Run and their charity "Desert Bus for Hope", as well as many smaller excursions in both creative and management positions within said productions. Kroze also helped create the popular Halo 3 gametype "Grifball" which went on to become a lasting addition into the hit Halo video game franchise in the succeeding entries of the series. In his spare time, Kroze also writes for popular culture website Comicsonline.com where he has interviewed many manner of actors over the years. Kroze also considers himself a comedian despite how many times being told just making puns all the time doesn't actually make him funny... or even liked... (He tries to use Hal Sparks as a defense but lets face it, does anyone REALLY enjoy Hal Sparks? REALLY?). Currently, Kroze can be found performing with the geeky comedy band Random Gibberish as well as performing with his new geeky rock project: Survivors of the PC. Kroze is also the co-host of Name Not Final, a weekly radio show and podcast which takes a look at video gaming, bleeding edge technology, and popular culture from an inside perspective.

To this day we still have no actual clue how Kroze is still alive.
