The Midwest Media Expo will be held at the 73-story Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center, in the heart of Downtown Detroit. Beginning at 2:00pm on Friday and lasting through Sunday evening, the Expo takes over one of the tallest hotels in the western hemisphere, which is also home to the General Motors World Headquarters!
The "RenCen" is also a "city within a city," featuring shops (CVS, Edible Arrangements, etc.), around 20 restaurants, an elevated train (People Mover), a police station, and even a 4-screen movie theater! Once you arrive at the Expo, you will find that you don't ever need to leave - so why stay anywhere else?
The Midwest Media Expo will be held from Friday, April 10, 2015 until Sunday, April 12, 2015. Events and activities will be running overnight, nonstop through the end of event! The Detroit Amtrak station is located approximately 4 miles from the convention. From there it's just a short bus ride from the station to the hotel.
Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport is located 21 miles from the convention. It's approximately $40 by taxi. The hotel does not provide a shuttle service from the airport.
